PICTURE OF YOU ist ein Liebeslied für Leute, die lieber Code schreiben als Gefühle aussprechen. Ein Nerd ist verliebt. Nicht dramatisch, nicht laut – eher still, unbeholfen und hoffnungslos überfordert damit, es einer Frau direkt zu sagen. Also tut er das, was er kann: Er baut eine einfache Struktur. Eine beschreibt. Ein Bild. Sonst nichts. Kein Schnickschnack, keine Erklärungen. Der Song besteht im Grunde aus genau diesem Moment: Ein Versuch, Nähe herzustellen, ohne sprechen zu müssen. Die Sprache bleibt technisch, fast lehrbuchhaft, aber gerade dadurch wird klar, was fehlt. Zwischen nüchternen Anweisungen und klaren Reihenfolgen steckt eine Liebe, die sich nur indirekt zeigen kann. Am Ende steht kein Geständnis. Nur das Ergebnis: Das ist mein HTML-artiges Bild von dir.
